The Redwood City Fire Department will be presenting its free Community Emergency Response Team Course starting on Tuesday, September 16th from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at 303 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City. The course is made up of multiple modules that include Disaster Preparedness, Fire and Utility Control, Disaster Medicine, Light Search and Rescue, and Team Management. It will meet Tuesday and Wednesday evening and Saturday until September 27th. The final class will be held at the Fire Department's main station on September 27th where participants will be able to apply the skills that were learned, including putting out a live fire utilizing fire extinguishers. The course is free and open to anyone 18 years or older.
