General Education: Support Providers



  • Develop a trusting and reflective professional partnership with your PTs.
  • Provide on-site support to each PT to assist them with building student/teacher relationships and implementing Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Pedagogical Practices
  • Assist each PT to develop a portfolio
  • Review Induction Standards, California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTPs) and the SMCTIP requirements with assigned PTs
  • Participate and attend all Support Provider seminars.  Attendance will be reported to each district representative, quarterly.
  • Model a lesson or lessons for PTs when appropriate
  • Communicate with site and district administrators on a regular basis regarding the Teacher Induction Program and Participating Teachers’ needs
  • Communicate with the consortium administrator regarding program effectiveness, and the formative assessment system
  • Participate in the program evaluation process and comply with consortium reporting procedures
  • Facilitate your PTs’ participation in program evaluation processes
  • Facilitate your PTs’ completion of the on-line consent form and eligibility form
  • If a PT leaves the program, notify the Program Director
