Annual Earth Awareness Days (Open to All)

Promote environmental awareness by celebrating Earth Day/Week/Month, Earth Hour, and Earth Overshoot Day, or by celebrating a number of environmental and social justice awareness days throughout the year.

Schools for a Sustainable Future Summit (Open to All)

The Schools for a Sustainable Future creates space for educators and community partners to learn, network, problem-solve, and exchange innovative solutions that drive environmental and social transformation across school communities. Register by Monday, May 20. Community partners can register here.

One Planet Schools Challenge (Open to All)

The One Planet Schools Challenge is a recognition and awards program that identifies leaders who are doing meaningful sustainability work at districts and sites and recognizes them for their impact on the greater community. Submit your projects by Monday, May 20.

San Mateo Environmental Literacy Teacher Fellowships (Open to Teachers)

The San Mateo Environmental Learning Collaborative (SMELC) is a collection of paid teacher fellowship programs that prepare teachers to drive environmental and social change across their school communities. Each fellowship program builds teacher capacity for designing and delivering learning experiences that are student-centered, problem- and project-based, solutions-oriented, and integrate real-world environmental and social issues.

Environmental Youth Leadership Network Spring Summit (Open to Students)

The Environmental Youth Leaders Network brings together youth (7-12th grade) leaders across San Mateo County (SMC), who are eager to make an environmental sustainability impact in their community. It educates and empowers students to take action now and be a part of creating a sustainable future and provides opportunities to collaborate, problem solve, and network with like-minded students across the county.
