California Mathematics Framework

The framework provides a context for implementing the standards by providing teachers and administrators the tools to ensure that all students succeed. The framework includes chapters on each grade level K-8 and the high school courses, universal access, instructional strategies, technology, assessment and recommendations for acceleration and textbook adoption.

Getting Ready for the Next Generation Science Standards

This three hour training will focus on the Next Generation Science Standards and their implications on teaching and learning in the classroom. We will investigate the three dimensions of the NGSS and their alignment to the Common Core State Standards and how to integrate them across content areas leading to STEM Education. Participants will take a deeper look at the standards, learning progressions, and rigor.

Integrating Computer Science and Robotics in the Classroom

Apr 26, 2014 | 8:30AM - 3:30PM(3 Day Event: Apr 26, 2014 | May 03, 2014 | May 10, 2014)This three day series is intended to expand your knowledge of computer programming and robotics in order to integrate them in your curriculum or across all content areas. You will have the opportunity to develop a lesson or unit that is CCSS aligned, and integrates computer science and/or robotics for increased STEM education. Participants must have attended the introductory Computer Science and Robotics series last Spring. The final two dates of the series will be determined at the September session.
