Teacher Leadership Series

This 5-part series is intended for teachers with 3+ years of experience including but not limited to, mentors, support providers, instructional coaches, department chairs, grade level team lead, and/or TOSA. 

During this 5-part series, stretching across the school year, teachers will travel on a journey of self-reflection, analysis and understanding of their roles.

Please note: This is a series with the sessions building upon one another. Attendance at all 5 sessions is highly encouraged.  If you are unable to attend all series dates but would like to participate in the series please contact Laura Nichols (lnichols@smcoe.org) to discuss participation.   

Using the Teacher Leadership Model Standards as a foundation, this series seeks to grow and support teachers' development as leaders within their current environment. Throughout the series, work will occur through an equity minded lens with an attention to the diversity of the communities we serve.  Areas of focus include: 
  • Developing a culture of collaboration among colleagues 
  • Facilitating improvements in instruction and student learning
  • The development of partnerships with families and the community.

For Support Providers in the San Mateo County Teacher Induction Program or SMCOE employees, this series has no fee.

EARLY BIRD Special: $125 for the 5-Part Series -- SAVE $25 if registered by September 29th. (Registration fee after September 29th: $150).
