"Accelerating Into NGSS" Conference

The San Mateo County Office of Education is proud to be the first host of Accelerating Into NGSS: a two-day, Statewide NGSS Rollout geared toward grades K–12 coaches, administrators, teacher leaders, and curriculum leaders who have not experienced NGSS Rollouts 1–4 or are feeling behind with the implementation of NGSS.  

The SMCOE Accelerating Into NGSS Rollout will take place on Wednesday, March 28 (8:00–4:15) and Thursday, March 29, 2018 (8:00–3:30) at the San Mateo County Office of Education.  

As our event is the only rollout in the Bay Area, there are limited spots available. Please select a small team of 2-3 leaders within your district/county to attend and register immediately.

Health Connected Trainings

March 12 – 13:  Teen Talk Trainings - Middle School and High School
March 15:  Teen Talk High School Refresher Training

These upcoming trainings are designed to provide teachers and youth providers working with students ages 10–18 with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to be exceptional health educators. All of Health Connected's curricula are aligned with the CA Health Education Content Standards and fulfill the CA Education Code requirements for teaching sex education. Join us for one, two, or three days of training to learn how to implement comprehensive sexuality education to ensure that your school is in compliance with the new CA Healthy Youth Act. By the end of these trainings, you'll be poised, prepped, and energized to implement Health Connected's Puberty Talk, Teen Talk Middle School, or Teen Talk High School program in your school or youth program.
