The STEM Fair
The San Mateo County Office of Education has hosted the STEM Fair for more than 30 years. Our goal is to create interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education and STEM careers, foster school-community cooperation in developing the scientific potential and communication skills of tomorrow’s leaders, and to publicly recognize the achievements of talented science students, grades 5-12, in San Mateo County. Click this link to visit the STEM Fair website and register your science project!
Both visual and performing art pieces will be exhibited throughout the Event! Click this link to visit the Visual and Performing Arts webpage for more information.
In our continuing efforts to prioritize inclusion among our 95,000 students, we have dedicated extensive thought on how to more equitably represent, commemorate, and participate in the deep learning and imaginative endeavors happening around San Mateo County.
Our brand-new Districts Showcase will be a celebration of the innovation and imagination of students across all San Mateo County public school districts. Every public school district has been invited to submit a project to the Districts Showcase--no project is too big or small. If there's something exciting happening in your district, we want everyone in our County to know about it!
Some ideas, just to get you started:
- Projects from individual classrooms and schools
- District initiatives and events
- Social justice projects
- Any other projects inclusive of students
