IMPORTANT NOTICE: Next Personnel Commission Meeting

The next Personnel Commission Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The public meeting will be held in person at the San Mateo County Office of Education in the Corte Madera Conference Room located at 101 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, CA 94065.
 
Personnel Commission Services offers an alternative option for the public to join the meeting virtually via Zoom meeting platform.  Registration is required to gain access to the meeting and a confirmation email will be sent to registered attendees with their login information. Agenda Item request form:

Merit Rule 20.10 (C) provides employees, employee organizations, Board members, the Superintendent and other interested parties with the opportunity to request that items be placed on a Personnel Commission meeting agenda. However, all items will be discussed with the Personnel Commission Chair to determine the appropriate course of action. If any item is determined not to be within the purview of the Personnel Commission, the Executive Director will communicate such to the form’s originator, along with an explanation of the reasons why the item will not be placed on the agenda.

The completed form will be electronically submitted through PandaDoc. Completed forms may also be emailed to Randy Perez at rperez@smcoe.org or hand delivered to the Personnel Commission Office at 101 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, CA 94065-1064. The County Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
 
 

Merit System Inquiry & Learning Topic Submission Form:This form may be used to submit questions or topic suggestions related to Merit System rules, regulations, and Personnel Commission processes. All submissions will be reviewed. Selected topics may be scheduled for a future Personnel Commission agenda. This form provides an opportunity to learn more about the value and application of the Merit System and its role in supporting fair and transparent personnel practices at SMCOE.

The Personnel Commission Services does not act upon any matter that has not been placed on the agenda except under limited circumstances as permitted by law. It is the policy of the Personnel Commission Services to refer matters raised in this forum to staff for investigation and/or action where appropriate. Please note that each speaker is limited to up to four (4) minutes. We ask all speakers to respectfully keep within the time limits.
