School COVID-19 Safety Plans and Dashboards
Guidance from the California Department of Public Health for the 2021-22 school year recommends that all local educational agencies (LEAs) post a safety plan on their website to communicate the safety measures in place for 2021-22 and disseminate to families in advance of the start of the school year. This safety plan should include elements required by Cal/OSHA's Emergency Temporary Standards as well as the California Department of Education, if they are receiving Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) funds. Schools and districts may use this template created by the San Mateo County Office of Education.
All schools and districts must send a link to their plan to the San Mateo County Office of Education; plans do not need to be reviewed by the County Office of Education or San Mateo County Health. If you are looking for a specific 2020-21 school year plan, please reach out to that school or district.
