The DRDP is an observation tool for teachers to record individual progress toward the achievement of four Desired Results for Children: 1. Children are personally and socially competent, 2. Children are effective learners, 3. Children show physical and motor competence, and 4. Children are safe and healthy. This session will introduce and overview the DRDP 2025 assessment tool. Participants will become familiar with Early Learning and Support Division (EESD) resources and the California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Foundations.

| Finding the Spark: A Strength-Based, Developmental Approach to Autism |
Every child has a spark—and with the right tools, understanding, and support, that spark can shine brightly. This inspiring and practical three-day workshop series invites early learning professionals to deepen their understanding of autism through a neurodiversity-affirming, developmental, and inclusive lens.
Grounded in a strength-based approach, Finding the Spark explores what autism looks like in early learning settings, how to support sensory regulation, and the power of visual supports to foster belonging and independence. Educators will leave with practical tools to build responsive, inclusive environments where autistic children can thrive.

San Mateo County Office of Education is partnering with Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to offer professional learning for preschool and transitional kindergarten teachers to deepen knowledge of literacy instruction for young learners.
The more children know about language and literacy before they begin kindergarten and first grade, the better equipped they are to succeed in literacy learning and beyond.
The LETRS for Early Childhood Education cohort commitment consists of self-paced online learning, two in-person training days, and 3 virtual PLC’s.

The Pyramid Model for Social Emotional Learning is a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s (ages 2-5) healthy social and emotional development.
