1. Choose the Right Application for You

Before starting the form, take a few minutes to gather the required information and documents. Note that FAFSA completers and their parents or contributors, also need to create a free account at StudentAid.gov.
Note that this is for FAFSA applications only.
3. Apply for Financial Aid!

Application Complete?
Create a WebGrants 4 Students Account
After submitting your application, create a WebGrants 4 Students account to check your Cal Grant status, make corrections, change schools, and update your address. CADAA applicants will receive a 9-digit “Dream ID number” from the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) to create their WebGrants account.
If you apply on time and no corrections are needed, you'll receive a Cal Grant Eligibility Notification by email. Follow the instructions to select your school. You'll also get a California Aid Report (CAR) detailing your Cal Grant status and amount. If you don't receive your CAR by June 30, 2025, and there's no update in WebGrants, contact CSAC.
