Location: 87th Child Development Center, Daly City
Description: Students will gain practical experience in the field of early education, including building skills in planning daily schedules and creating developmentally appropriate curriculum.  Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, an intern will assist in creating a warm, nurturing, inclusive and safe environment and interact in a positive manner with children, families and site staff.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Valid Work Permit

Candidates under final consideration for employment may undergo a reference check that may include:  employment references, work permit, and a review of Summary Criminal History obtained from the State Department of Justice through Live Scan Fingerprinting as part of the hiring process.

Bright Horizons will offer two paid summer internships, one at the Pine Cone Children’s Center in Redwood City and one at the 2nd Generation Cabot Center in South San Francisco.  Students will have the opportunity to work with infant-preschoolers during the 4-6 week paid summer internship.  Students must be in their junior or senior year and be 16 years of age.

Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour/20 hours per week
Dates: 4-6 weeks during 6/8/2020-8/9/2020

Locations: 2nd Generation Cabot in South San Francisco or Pine Cone Children’s Center in Redwood City

Description: Students will have an opportunity to explore their skills working with young children in an inclusive environment. Grin ‘n’ Giggles host inclusive parties for young children ages 2-6 on weekends. You will have an opportunity to assist in party planning, set up and clean up of events, assisting with supervision of children with and without developmental disabilities and help with preparation for snacks, drinks and proper food handling techniques.

Seeking students that possess:

  • Someone with high energy, enthusiasm, passion and ideas
  • Warm and friendly personality with a great attitude
  • Flexible and able to multi task
  • Previous customer service experience is helpful
  • Availability to work Fridays and weekends

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Proof of the following immunizations: MMR, TB. DPT and Influenza
  • Prefer students interested in child development, marketing and development, psychology or related field

Other Requirements:

Candidates who are considered for this internship will also need to complete good physical health exam by a physician, provide valid ID for authorization to work in US.

Description: Students will gain hands on experience working in an inclusive preschool environment, supporting children with and without developmental disabilities in the field of early childhood education. Under the supervision of Education Coordinator and Site Supervisor students will assist in implementing curriculum, providing a warm and safe environment for students and help assist in day to day classroom activities.

Seeking students that possess:

  • Passion for working with young children of all abilities
  • Warm and friendly personality
  • Flexible and able to multi task
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment with ease

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proof of the following immunizations: MMR, TB. DPT and Influenza
  • Prefer students interested in child development, Special education, psychology or related field

Other Requirements:

Candidates who are considered for this internship will also need to complete good physical health exam by a physician, provide valid ID for authorization to work in US and undergo fingerprinting as required by state department for hiring.
