San Mateo County is an innovative and invigorating place to work and offers many exciting opportunities for educators. The Education Employment Recruitment Fair is a wonderful way to bring together well-qualified educators seeking employment with our county's 23 school districts and county office of education student programs, eager to hire highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join their teams.

On March 14, 2026, the County Office of Education will hold its next Education Employment Fair. Join representatives from San Mateo County school districts in San Mateo County to learn more about their employment opportunities and attend sessions on credentialing and benefits.

Explore tables to meet staff from school districts across the county and the San Mateo County Office of Education.

9:30-9:50am: Credentials 
Join this presentation if you want a California credential, whether it is your first or a subsequent credential. We will discuss how to navigate the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) website, understand the requirements for a credential, and how to apply for certification. For anyone who does not know where to start, we will also discuss the CTC's roadmap to teaching and how to set up a meeting with one of their career guidance counselors.

10:00-10:20 Benefits
Join this presentation if you are new to working in a public school system. The presentation will cover the general benefits structure in California public education and the CalPERS and CalSTRS systems, formulas, and contributions rates.
