Investigations into child sex abuse allegations are complex, sensitive, and often involve multiple agencies. As a result, the Coalition for Safe Schools and Communities created various protocols and resources to coordinate investigative efforts, minimize trauma for the victim(s), and ensure forensic reliability

Responding to Student Sexual Assault

The San Mateo County Student Sexual Abuse Response Protocol promotes cooperation between all agencies responding to allegations of student sexual abuse. The protocol applies to suspicions and allegations of student-to-student or school personnel-to-student sexual abuse and assault.
