About K-22 Special Education Services

The San Mateo County Office of Education's (SMCOE) K-22 Special Education program serves students with special needs from kindergarten through age 22 years. The program includes five Special Day Classes (SDC's) at SMCOE's center site in San Bruno and one SDC located on an integrated school site at South San Francisco High School. Students are referred to SMCOE's Special Education program by their local school district through the IEP process.
