More than 125 educators, community partners, and school site staff attended this year's RESPECT! 24/7 Conference, a day-long event promoting positive school climates. Superintendent of Schools Nancy Magee opened the conference, giving attendees a warm welcome and sharing how the conference has grown since it began in 2012. Patrick Keeley, Principal of Mountain Empire High School, then gave an opening keynote presentation on the importance of student voice, inviting three student leaders who attended Camp LEAD this summer to share their thoughts and insights with those present.

Attendees learned about resources provided by local organizations at the Resource Fair and went to several break-out sessions that emphasized how to support English language learners and newcomers, promote staff connectedness, address relational violence, and improve school climate.
