Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI)
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires state educational agencies to determine school eligibility for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI). Local educational agencies (LEAs) with schools that meet the criteria for CSI must partner with stakeholders to locally develop and implement a plan to improve student outcomes.
Districts become eligible for Comprehensive Support and Improvement as a result of individual schools needing targeted assistance due to CA Dashboard results.

CSI Networking and Support Sessions
In partnership with WestEd, the San Mateo County Office of Education is providing an opportunity to engage in networking and support sessions to enhance your CSI-eligible school’s improvement efforts.
The CSI Networking and Support sessions will include a combination of virtual networking and team collaboration, knowledge building on school improvement topics, and guidance in meeting all CSI Plan and ESSA CSI grant requirements.
Each virtual session highlights different school improvement components and builds upon information and outcomes discussed in previous meetings. We highly recommend that participants plan to attend or send improvement team representatives to each session to avoid gaps in learning and the school improvement and CSI process.
